Environmental due diligence audits (EDDs) and environmental health and safety audits (EHS) are carried out to identify potential environmental liabilities and occupational health related risks prior to purchasing (or selling) a property. It covers on-site visits, thorough assessment of documentation to identify any non-compliance with legal requirements, as well as any potential liabilities which might cause any hindrances to successful business operation in the future. Timely identification of “red flags” can save the investors avoidable expenditures in the future and help sellers to make their property ready for transfer to another owner.
