Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are widely applied in environment and nature related studies. GIS are used to produce cartographic materials, and to assess impacts of various environmental factors, as well as to make complex decisions.

The GIS provide optimal solutions for:

  • choosing the placement for industrial or traffic facilities,
  • analyzing the dispersion of ambient air pollution and noise,
  • preparing nature management plans for protected areas,
  • developing land use plans.

ELLE has an excellent expertise in the field – experts are specialised and experienced in GIS operation and, besides, have deep knowledge of several graphic programmes for spatial data processing. The equipment at ELLE disposal meets the current technical requirements and therefore it is possible to produce high quality cartographic materials, both – in paper and electronic format.
